Full battery charge

Hi all, I’m new 2 week owner of a plug- in Tonale. Apologies if this question is redundant. Drove it off the lot with 51km range. Since then using an L1 I can only get to 44 or 45km. No problems with charger and I’ve tried settings at 3 and 5. Dealer says it’s my driving habit. But this happened on the first charge. Is this normal? Tips? Advice?

The onboard computer definitely changes with its current driving condition.
I think it likes to predict the consumption based on what you're doing.

For instance, I would drive on a road that's 45mph, the read out would be 15 miles.
I get closer to town, speed limit gets to 30... then 20... with a few stop lights, etc. It would bump up to about 19.

Same thing with the gas... I've seen it calculate the distance to empty would be like 220 miles.
Look down, and it's 212 miles, for whatever reason, while I'm not even using the ICE.
Get in next time and its 225 🤷‍♂️

As for the charge, the only time I've ever seen it say 33 EV miles is picking it up from the dealer.
Ever since, it only reads 31mi when the battery is 100% charged.
My only guess, is the last 2 miles is for the eAWD power reserve. Once the Tonale gets off the lot, starts being used, and the computers calculate stuff, it figures out it needs eAWD reserve, so it takes it away.

If you're lucky, and have the hybrid setting screen in uConnect, you can actually see the percentage of the battery.
When the readout is zero miles, the battery still has ~5% give or take.
Only once, when I was in bumper to bumper traffic, when I got home, plugged it in, did it say 1% (though the ICE kept turning on and off - that's what it does when its that low; acts like a normal hybrid).
Hope that helped!

Also note: when in traffic, and the ICE turns on and off, it's also charging the hybrid battery to fill up the reserve to keep the minimum percentage ⚡🪫

(It will show it the Power Flow screen / graphic. That blue box in the center of the Tonale with the wire / pipe sticking out and the white 'charge' bubbles flowing to it).

Uhh!!!! I miss this screen!!!!!!!!
It made me more conscious of my driving and battery usage!
It was nice to know how much regen I was getting 🥲

I have a Hornet R/T, and I've seen this same debate on our forum. AlfaCharger is right.
My own personal experience:

I live on the side of a mountain, and several hills are so steep that I can watch the miles drop off the SoC (State of Charge) numbers at the rate of one mile per 3/4 second. After I charge, the SoC shows 31 miles, and doesn't start dropping for about six miles of driving.
Just for fun, yesterday I had errands to run and did a bit of hypermiling on the way down to the highway. Just by using regen and not brakes, I was able to put back five miles in eight miles of driving.
