All warnings

Just came back from a week vacation and took a ride about 10 miles with no issues. Now every time I start, all warnings on the dash are lit up. All warning lights are on and don’t go away. Any tips on what might cause this? No electric mode, only basic driving functions are working. Even the turn signal doesn’t shut off on its own after I complete a turn.

I’ve had the same a month ago. Only the dealership can reset it, there’s a recalibration needed. According to them it was due to a 12V battery charge drop. They also admitted that there have been many faulty batteries they had to replace on the Tonale.

You could try a hard reset — ie, disconnect the negative battery cable for a few minutes.

When you do this in a Giulia/Stelvio you’ll get all the warning lights after you reconnect the battery and start the car.

However, they can be cleared by doing a simple steering wheel reset procedure. You start the car, turn steering to full lock left, then full lock right, then back to center position. Turn off car, then restart and all warnings are gone.

When I had the light show myself, I tried the steering calibration procedure, as suggested, but it didn’t work. Tried at least a few times but no effect at all. Unfortunately, only the dealer could clean the errors and re-calibrate. BTW, when it happened to mine, it was plugged in and charged. And I had been driving it everyday, not like it was sitting in the garage. The dealership were not sure about the actual cause. They only found power failure in the logs and assumed there’s been a voltage drop. But how could that happen when the car has been plugged in and fully charged? Also, they said they replaced a lot of faulty 12V batteries, apparently a weak component, the most common issue being the electronics in the battery are not correctly reporting the actual charge level which can lead to empty battery. They didn’t change mine and I’m still worried it might happen again.

Actually that reset process got the vehicle in a much better state. After starting, I no longer have the red “service power steering” and all other warnings. The vehicle now drives in any mode, and everything works. But the “service engine” warning comes on, and various dashboard lights are illuminated. Not sure what else can be done to clear all those..

What code did you have? It is important to note which code caused the concern, depending on the code, if you delete it, the dealer will have nothing to go on.

Also, keep in mind that you are only accessing the engine PCM with a generic OBD scan tool. The engine PCM, the TCM and the battery pack control module can all set the check-engine light, while the other 20 or so modules cannot.

If it recurs, make sure to note the code and let us know. Personally I'm leaning towards an actual concern rather than a battery issue. Most likely a concern that can be alleviated by a software update at the dealership.

I plug the Tonle to the trickle charger once every 6 months, the battery has never died on us though.
We ordered the car and took possession about 3 weeks (early January'24) after it arrived from Italy...when I read about dead batteries here I decided to charge the 12V in mid-March, it was about half full. A couple of days ago I charged it for the second time, as mentioned on another thread, after 5 minutes of being connected the C-Tek charger showed 3 out of 7 lights.
