I recently got a set of Y99 XL Pirelli cinturato weatheractive tires, which fit the Tonale perfectly
Since the 235 width wasn’t available, I went with the 245mm, and it turned out great. Those 20-inch premium wheels are 8 inches wide, so the maximum recommended tire width is 245mm, which leans slightly towards comfort, without sacrificing handling
The wider contact patch also allowed me to lower the PSI of 42/42 as per the OEM door sticker, which felt too firm in my opinion, because the new tires are wider, this does not apply anymore, as per Tire Pressure Calculator 38 PSI should be the new standard over 42/42.

I set it to 36 PSI (cold)new PSI set to 38 and the ride has been fantastic, allowing the edge sidewall to flex without worrying about wheel damage.- the comfort is on pair and comparable to the Stelvio’s 255/45/20 equipped with crosscontact tires in soft mode.
- On stiff mode (D) the ride feels very stiff. The DNA feel is definitely more pronounced on different modes.
- These tires are quiet!! and look super sweet - I am hyped to use it all-year around without having to swap tires from winter/summer seasons
- These tires are all-weather, winter-rated, and perform similarly to entry-level or average winter tires. I’ll test them this winter and share how they handle.
- I find them better than the OEM Michelin pilot sport all season 4 tires so far— handling precision is more natural and sportive, something I always find Pirelli exceeding at doing on dry
- Wet conditions, no complaints, much much grippier than Michelins
- Road noise almost non existent but this is because of the sidewall reinforcement, and the higher the psi pressure, the more amplified the road sound gets
- Will share more pictures with the wheels this weekend, need to clean them up a bit!
