A new hybrid Alfa Romeo could be on the way, with the automaker presenting an electrified compact crossover concept at the 2019 Geneva Motor Show this week.
The Alfa Romeo Tonale Concept advances the automaker’s modern-day design language, introducing slimmer lighting elements and sharper lines. The company looked to its past for inspiration when designing the crossover, with the ‘phone dial’ wheels inspired by the 33 Stradale, side details inspired by the Duetto and Disco Volante Spider and headlights inspired by the SZ and Brera.

Inside, the Tonale features a driver-oriented layout with leather trimmed seats, Alcantara accents, and aluminum trim. A 12.3-inch digital gauge cluster and 10.25-inch touchscreen are mounted on the dash, creating a “seamless and fluid multitasking interface that allows the driver to have all the latest features and functionality readily available at their fingertips,” Alfa says.
